Moving into a home previously occupied by a cigarette smoker can bring on a host of problems. Besides the possibility of discovering burn marks on floors and on countertops, the lingering smell of cigarette smoke is one of the major complaints. Even the inside of kitchen cabinets can harbor the smell of cigarette smoke, but it is possible to get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke in cabinets. Do not bother with costly store-bought odor neutralizing remedies. Instead, opt for the following natural ways to get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke in cabinets. They work far better than any number of store-bought items, and they are far less expensive.

Begin by Thoroughly Cleaning

In a home where people regularly smoked indoors, walls and cabinetry are no-doubt coated with film left behind by smoke. Before trying natural remedies to get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke in cabinets, begin with a thorough cleaning. Use your favorite brand of oil soap and water, and clean cabinets according to product label instructions. Dry the surface thoroughly, and try one or more of the following ways to get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke for good. Within 24 to 48 hours, chances are the smell of cigarette smoke will no longer be detectable.

White Vinegar

Vinegar is a fantastic natural odor neutralizer, and it is relatively inexpensive. After thoroughly cleaning cabinets, place open bowls of white vinegar in closed cabinets. Allow the vinegar to work for at least 24 hours to get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke in cabinets.

Fresh Dry Coffee

Believe it or not, fresh dry coffee is one of the very best natural products to get rid of bad odors, and it works quite well to get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke in cabinets. Place open bowls of fresh dry coffee within closed cabinetry, and leave it undisturbed for at least 24 hours. Once the smell of coffee dissipates, chances are the smell of cigarette smoke will be gone.
