Manhattan

The borough of Manhattan is divided into three major neighborhoods. Downtown Manhattan's communities include: the financial district, China Town, SoHo and Little Italy, the lower east side, Greenwich Village, the East Village, Tribeca, and the Chelsea area. Midtown is divided into both an east, and a west section. Midtown East is home to such creative venues such as Carnegie Hall, Museum of Modern Art, Radio City Music Hall, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Rockefeller Center.

The theater and garment districts, and Times Square make up the Midtown West area. Downtown Manhattan includes the largest green space in the entire city, Central Park, Harlem, Washington Heights, and both the Upper West, and Upper East Side areas of the borough. The number one ranked journalism college in the country, Columbia University, is located in the Upper West Side. Lincoln Center, and six other historic districts, featuring amazing architecture can be seen while strolling through the area.

The area known as the financial district boasts the World Financial Center, Statue of Liberty, and the New York Stock Exchange. On Fulton Street, the South Seaport bustles with large ships, and barges delivery goods from around the world. Shopping in small sidewalk markets, live music, and art displays draw large crowds to the area, making the seaport a favorite for locals, and visitors.
