Here is another one of these things that "dropped" on me like a ton of bricks. This was about the wayward dysfuntion I lived with as a child.

Things We Never Say

So many things we never say
Turn our heads the other way.
The pink elephant in the room gets bigger by the day
But still we never, ever say.

So many things we never say
Turn a blind eye, and go on with the day.
A whole lifetime has past, by the way
But still we never, ever say.

I know you see and I see too
The pain surrounding us.
Let's turn our heads and eyes and face
To help us through another day.
Ignore, ignore we just can't face
The things we never say.

So many things we just can't say
Much too painful to go that way.
So as far away as we can stay,
You know we're gonna go that way.

So many things we'll never say
Some day I hope with help and pray,
That these things will finally pass away.
Then we will look at each other and say,
I love you, please don't go away.

I wish people would do the positive things they try to get other people to do.

Wonderful poem. The sad thing is that so much could be improved if we would only talk things out.

The most toxic and dangerous things we give to our children are the secrets we keep.
