It is a Good Thing Elton John is Not in Charge!

According to CNN.com, Elton John made the following statement, “Organized religion fuels anti-gay discrimination and other forms of bias.” If he had his way, he would ban organized religion. To ban religion is to prohibit, especially by official decree. Just as I cannot tell Elton John who to fall for, he cannot tell me for turn my back on my god. As not right, this would mean religion in most of its forms would be punishable by law. While Elton is at it, why doesn’t he take away the freedom of speech too?

Elton John would want us to live like the people in communist China who are jailed and tortured for their beliefs. If we admit we are Christian, our families, and our friend’s room could be harassed. Elton John says religion is not compassionate. However, how is the removal of the lifeblood for others any more compassionate?

If Elton John were in charge, we would, however be able to swear like sailors and throw hissy fits like little girls. I have always loved Elton John and followed his music since I was a small child. Lately, however, his Diva attitude is a bit of a turn off. I have to ask if Elton is suffering from early forms of dementia characterized by diarrhea of the mouth. He recently publicly asked his record label to drop them saying “fcuk Universal” on stage. He said it 15 times. He slammed Madonna and Ashley Simpson for Lip Synching. Hmmm, his attitude is a bit self-righteous isn’t it? He is not only downright mean but holier-than-thou too.

He also believes I Pods are silly, American Idol is racist, and photographers should be shot.

I think Elton John needs a vacation.
