When vacationing, my family hates to eat at chain restaurants. We look for local restaurants and enjoy finding great food and great prices while traveling. During a recent trip to Pensacola Beach, Florida, we visited DJ's Beach Café, at 63 Via DeLuna on the main strip in Pensacola Beach. DJ's Beach Café appeared to offer no-frills dining at a very affordable price, so we gave it a try. Fortunately, we made a wise decision to try this Pensacola Beach restaurant.

From the outside, DJ's Beach Café in Pensacola Beach, Florida is nothing more than two windows and a door sitting in a strip of other restaurants and stores on Via DeLuna. The very casual, and older look of DJ's Beach Café extends into the interior of the restaurant. About eight tables, most of which seat two or four guests, and a small counter are all that adorn the inside of this simple Pensacola Beach restaurant. The walls of DJ's Beach Café have a few simple beach decorations, and two flat panel television screens are located high upon the walls for patron viewing.

The entire DJ's Beach Café was serviced by one waitress. Fortunately the restaurant was small and our waitress was surprisingly attentive considering almost every table in the place was full during our meal. We arrived for an early lunch (having not adjusted to the central time zone just yet) and were offered lunch menus in place of the available breakfast menus. The fare at DJ's Beach Café includes sandwiches served with typical side dishes such as French fries and onion rings, burgers, and dinner plates. The dinner special during our visit to DJ's Beach Café was a pork chop dinner with two sides which included green beans, mashed potatoes, cole slaw, and pinto beans among others.

Finding local restaurants & rating them/letting others know about them is a nifty favor to others! Good job!

That's strange that they only offer one free refill with drinks. I've never heard of that before!

I love non-chain restaurants too! When you find a good one, you truly feel like you've discovered something.
