How to Make Money on Helium.com

...The Website Where More is More..

There are lots and lots of ways that one can make money on the internet. Many of them are illegitimate. And it seems that the legitimate ways take exorbitant amounts of time. I stumbled across Helium.com several months ago and found myself intrigued by the way the system worked. At the time, the website was called Heliumknowledge.com, a site which paid users for supplying answers to simple (and fairly complex) questions. Before that, it was Heliumfeedback.com, a website which is specifically dedicated to providing budding creative writers with constructive feedback, which they would pay for.

The website exited the beta stage in September of 2006. With a fresh new look, and some of the kinks worked out, Helium.com made its “debut.” The site shed the Question and Answer format, in favor of a more attractive arrangement—one that focuses on articles instead of questions. The appealing thing about this website is that it is extremely informative. People perusing the site can locate specific topics, and get a multi-perspective view of the topic. And that, ladies and gentlemen—is where the money comes in.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Like many websites, Helium.com makes its money from Google, based on the content generated on the site. Therefore, if your content is viewed often, on pages where the Google items are particularly “valuable”, then you get money. You are paid by having your articles read by others. Some topics are more valuable in engine searches than others. When someone clicks on your article, it may generate $0.03, where another article may generate only $0.01 per view. This may sound like small change, but if you consider how many people on the site will click your article(s) at various times, those cents quickly add up to dollars.
