Barroom Brawl Incident Latest Real Life Celebrity Legal Drama

Actors Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright, who play President George W. Bush and Colin Powell respectively in an upcoming film, W, about the President's life, were arrested during a bar fight in a Shreveport, Louisiana, club called the Stray Cat.

Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright were arrested along with five of the film's crew. Brolin and Wright were arrested by police for trying to interfere with the arrest of a film technician for public intoxication and resisting arrest. Josh Brolin was released from jail after posting a 334 dollar cash bond.

W has been in the process of being filmed in Shreveport since May and is directed by famous and controversial film director Oliver Stone. Oliver Stone, who has also directed films about John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon, claims that his film about President Bush will be a balanced portrait of how a man rose from being a drunken reprobate to the most powerful man in the world. Nevertheless, even before Oliver Stone's biop has been completed, not to mentioned shown, it has stirred controversy.

Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright were certainly not the only Hollywood actors who have been in trouble with the law. Sean Penn was once arrested for beating a photographer. And he was later charged with felon domestic assault during his marriage with Madonna.

Several actors who have appeared in the hit television series, Lost, have run afoul of the law. Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Jin, as well as Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros, have been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who played Mr. Eko, was arrested for driving without a license and disobeying a law enforcement officer,

Numerous famous actors, including Jude Law, Hugh Grant, Tom Sizemore, Jonathon Rhys Meyers, Keifer Sutherland, Christian Slater, Shia LeBeouf, Robert Blake, Wesley Snipes, Rip Torn, Robert Downey Jr., Brad Renfro, Mel Gibson, Gary Busey, Nick Nolte, Mickey Rourke, Ryan O'Neal, and Daniel Baldwin, have been arrested or otherwise run afoul of the law at one time or another. Many of these incidents have involved drugs and/or alcohol.
