It is that time of year where we all want to stretch out after hibernating for so long. What a better way than to get out in nature, with the fresh air, sunny sky and starry nights. Wildlife and room to run. Camping is a great way to experience everything at it's best. It is also a reasonably priced thing to do with a family for a weekend.

There are many different places that you can choose in the Lake Ontario area. Just research them a little and see what will work best for you and your family. Here are a few of the campsites that are in the Lake Ontario area.

Holiday Harbor Resort, located at 9415 Blind Sodus Bay Rd in Red Creek, NY Phone:315-947-5244 is a RV park, Campground and Marina. The campsite is located on both Lake Ontario and also on Blind Sodus Bay. They have 900 feet of frontage on Lake Ontario and 425 on Bay side. A very beautiful place to stay. Some of the amenities they offer are rowboat rentals, paddle boats and canoes. They have fire pits, and a game room. All of the campsites are grassy, and some are wooded. There is also a Cabin on side in case you just don't want to rough it that much.

Another amazing place to stay in the area is the Bedford Creek Marina & Campground. They are located on the Easters Basin of Lake Ontario. This campground has great fishing that will make your trip one to remember and plenty of space to swim to your hearts content. They have 900 feet of frontage on Lake Ontario and have a nice soft sand on their beach, no rocks as you wade out into the water. New to them is that they now offer WI-FI service for the guests. Their rates go for camping from 22.00 a day for the basic site up to 29.00 a day for the deluxe site. While at the site why not rent one of their boats with motors and try your luck at fishing, as the lake boasts a abundance of small mouth bass and perch, and large Northern Pike. You can contact them at 315-646-2486.
