Earth Soil Purification for Weed Free Gardening
If weeds are holding you back from creating a beautiful garden then read on. Hard work and determination is all you need to get started. A few tools and a nice sunny day will also help. Earth soil purification is a process.
Weeds are a fact of life. You can free up valuable gardening land by ridding your soil of pesty weeds. No need to use harsh chemicals.
TOOLS NEEDED:
Window screen
Shovel
wood horses
small block of wood
gloves
CREATE A BASE PLAN:
To begin earth soil purification, plot out the area to be worked. Start on a small scale. Any weed infested area will do. Pick a shady spot to set up your work center. Have plenty of cold water on hand to avoid dehydration. Think in a block of about 4 feet by 4 feet.
SET UP:
Position the wood horses far enough apart to safely hold the window screen. You can use any two objects that will hold the window screen at waist height. Two chairs placed back to back, or stack milk crates two high. Set up in an area where you can let the purified earth soil fall freely.
Shovel the top 3-4 inches of weedy soil on to the window screen. Don't dig down deep. You should just be skimming off the weeds from the earth soil. Place 3-4 shovel fulls on to the screen. Now glove your hands and work the weed earth soil into the screen. Pushing the earth soil into the screen and gently moving it back and forth. Check your work by looking under the window screen to see that the soil is falling through. Soon you will be left with weeds on the screen top.
If your earth soil is rocky, pick out the larger stones you wish to keep and start a pile for them to be used latter. Use the wood block to move the earth soil over the screen if you see ants, worms, or spiders. The earth soil is alive with insects.
Discard the unwanted weeds to a proper container. You may toss them into your hot compost pile that will kill weed seeds. Continue to shovel weeds onto the window screen-until the area is weed free. Moving into the next section repeat the process. Before long you will have a weed free zone. Ready to plant.
