"Home is in my heart - in all the places and people I have left behind. It's in the food that I cook and share with others, and in the cities I will come to know."
By Kim Sunee

Today's quote is from a modern day author whos name is Kim Sunee, She is only 40 years old but we can still learn from this fabulous woman author and cook. She now lives in Birmingham, Alabama but was born in South Korea where her mother abandoned her when she was but a tiny chi giving her nothing but a handful of food to hold on to. After wandering around in a marketplace for three days the police found her and took her to an orphanage where she was later adopted by a nice family in New Orleans.

Her book and story is quite a read. If you get the chance to read it, look for "Trail Of Crumbs" on the book stand or in your library. Through books like this we understand how fortunate we all are.

Here are two web addresses where you can read about this remarkable woman:

What'd her mom give her -- lemons? This lady definitely squeezed some lemonade out of her life. Gotta hand it to her...

What a wonderful story. I have strong feelings for kids who have been abandoned or mistreated in any way. Sounds like a great book.
