If you are in Houston, Texas and you searching for a quality dining experience then Chuy's restaurant just may be the place for you. Chuy's is located just inside the southwestern portion of the I-610 loop in Houston. The Tex-Mex restaurant offers diners great food and a fun atmosphere. The key location in the River Oaks neighborhood near downtown Houston allows for a great dinner then a chance to explore nearby night life. The restaurant is not only highly touted for its outstanding Tex-Mex, but also world renowned for their T-shirts. Tourists love to cash in on the chance to remember their experience by picking up one of Chuys' famous shirts.
At Chuy's you will find a variety of Tex-Mex dishes ranging from great chicken enchiladas to stuffed pork burritos. One of Chuy's best Tex-Mex dishes is their Friday daily special Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom, which is a roasted chicken and cheese enchilada with their special Boom-Boom sauce. Also, Chuy's offers outstanding combination platters. A local favorite is the Comida Deluxe, which comes with Tex-Mex cheese enchiladas, chicken flautas, and a crispy hard taco. The smothered cheese enchiladas are a perfect taste of Texas and Mexico and a must if you are visiting Chuy's for the first time. If you aren't hungry, Chuy's offers a great bar scene and outdoor area for enjoyment. The Chuy's house margaritas are a popular selection among adults looking to delve into the bar scene.
The service at Chuy's terrific. Servers are polite and courteous and help restaurant goers have a great Tex-Mex experience. The wait time for seating as well as food is more extended than a typical restaurant do to the high volume of visitors at the restaurant. Many guests typically enjoy drinks at the bar while waiting for their tables or food. The atmosphere makes any wait time seem reasonable and generally acceptable. One backdraw to the location is the availability of parking. Lack of parking makes finding a parking spot difficult and tedious. However, the food and fun is worth the wait.
The world famous Chuy's T-shirts can be selected for wide range of preferences. Chuy's popular shirts are very similar to those that can be found in retailers such as Aeropostale and American Eagle. Shirts from the restaurant range in price from $12.99 to $20. Chuy's Restaurant is usually open from 11 am to 11pm from Sunday to Thursday and 11am to 12am on weekends. Happy hours from 4pm to 7pm on weekdays feature house margaritas for only $3 and domestic beers for $2.25. Chuy's also offers a carry out service if you are on the go. Other Chuy's locations include Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio, Texas. Café Adobe is another popular Tex-Mex alternative in the Houston metro area.

I don't understand Chuy's strategy but it seems to work; the parking lot is always full and there's always a wait. But I don't get it. The food can only be described as flavorless glop. I've never had a meal that that rises above mediocre. Skip this and go to Cha-Cho's on Westheimer, where everything is delicious and the flavor pallet is broader. Chuy's is awful.
