Specialized Nursing - Which One is Right for You?

Agency Nursing: An Agency nurse is placed in a job where there is a need for a nurse. This may range from a daily job to a longer contracted job. The pay rate is higher then if the person was hired directly from the facility they may be working at. An agency nurse is usually paid per
diem.
Home Health Care Nurse: A home health care nurse is usually assigned one case they take care of on a daily basis or they assigned various cases through out the day and perfume home health care visits. The pay rate for home health care nurses is usually higher then most nursing jobs.
Camp Nurses: A camp nurse is hired to work at camps during the camps camping season. Pay rates very from 300 per week to 6000 per month depending on the camp and services that are needed. While many camps offer a travel allowance all camps offer room and bored and food. Some camps even allow you to bring your own children to attend the camps for free of charge.
Case Management Nurse: A case management nurses ensures that the patients are receiving appropriate care at the correct time. A case management nurse manages all aspects of patient care and services to clients.
Forensic Nursing: A Forensic nurse will assist in crime scenes, identify forensic evidence, document injuries with forensic photography, investigate unidentified or suspicious trauma but the most common part of forensic nursing is the sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE).
Geriatric Nursing: Most geriatric nurses will work in a long term care facility taking care of the elderly. A geriatric nurse is usually responsible for a set number of patients on the floor and also responsible for the staff underneath them, the licensed practical nurse and the nursing assistants.
Holistic Nursing: A holistic nurse is a nurse who heals the whole person as a goal. A holistic nurse requires the nurse to integrate self care and self responsibility into her care. A holistic nurse usually practices alternative types of medicine.
