This Thursday July 17th The Gong Show is back. The Gong Show with Dave Attell" premieres Thursday, July 17 at 10:00 p.m. on Comedy Central. Many of us remember the original Gong Show for the late 70s early 80s. Each episode presented amateur performers of various talents. Sometimes it was
good talent worth your time and often time's it was talent worthy of getting the Gong.
I remember as a child enjoying the show and laughing at the contestants. What I liked best about the show was when Anson Williams was on as a judge.
The premiere episode features celebrity judges Brian Posehn, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and Steve Schirripa. Judges featured throughout the season include Adam Carolla, Kate Walsh, Andy Dick, Ron White, Dave Navarro, Greg Giraldo, Jim Norton and JB Smoove.
Dave Attell is a COMEDY CENTRAL alum, having hosted four seasons of the hit series, "Insomniac with Dave Attell," where he traveled city-to-city in search of late-night fun. Attell was most recently seen in his HBO one-hour stand-up special, "Captain Miserable," that aired in December 2007. Named one of the "25 Funniest People in America" by Entertainment Weekly.
Be sure to tune in July 17th at 10:00 p.m on Comedy Central to watch the Gong Show and see if you agree with who is worthy of being gonged and who is worthy of staying.
