Taking a scenic drive in upstate New York can be a lot of fun. It is only during certain times of the year that you will truly enjoy all that nature has to offer driving through Upstate New York. One thing I would suggest before you take your scenic drive is taking along a camera so that you can later make a scrapbook out of your trip. Some of the best times to go driving thorough Upstate New York is during the fall and spring months.

One favorite location among many who drive through the area is the scenic Route 28 in the Adirondack Park. You can take Interstate 87 to exit 23 and then continue until you reach Warrensburg. As you drive along you will spot several places where you can stop and take a picture. You will also pass by the Indian Lake which is very beautiful to see and take pictures during the fall. Then there is the scenic drive from Lake George to Lake Placid. Once again map quest is your best option to take you along the most scenic route. Thos direction will take you through Keene Valley and right through the Adirondack High Peaks. You will get an amazing site to view. It may also be nice to stop and collect some leaves if you are driving through during the fall season. The total round trip from Lake George to Lake Placid will probably take you about 2 and a half hours including plenty of time to stop for pictures. Make sure you take the time to map out your tour well before leaving. This way you want miss out on the most scenic route to take. In my own experience I have always found that map quest will always take you the most scenic route to a location. If that does not take your breath away than the scenic drive to the St. Regis Falls definitely will. You can use map quest to route your location to the Regis Falls using Route 30 to get the best scenic views.
