For many men and women with thinning or falling hair, the first signs of new hair growth can seemingly be a godsend. If you have new hair growth after several months, even years of attempting to restore you hair, there is a good chance that you have tried several products only to be let down until one day you try one product or a regimen of products which seems to show the best promise of restoring your hair. At this point in the hair growth process, one of the main goals is to ensure that you gain more hair than you lose through normal every day shedding. Here are some of the best tips that I have found for ensuring your hair continues to grow between treatments. One of the best things I have found that helps the hair to grow in between treatments is exposure to the sun. I'm not saying you should lie out in the sun all day until you burn to a crisp. Five minutes or less at a time during three or four separate blocks each day will work just fine. This helps your scalp as well as the rest of the body be able to attain the right balance of vitamin D from the sun. Think of this as photosynthesis in the body.
If you are going to be outdoors working in the garden, grilling, at the pool for an extended period of time, you may be tempted to wear a hat to deflect the heat of the sun from your body. This is actually one of the worst things you can do to hinder the progress of hair growth. Instead, find a nice shady spot or sit under an umbrella every hour or so for a few minutes and cool off. This way you can still get the sun and Vitamin D you need for hair growth while maintaining a good working routine outdoors.
One of the greatest hindrances to hair growth indoors is dust from vacuuming and household cleansing. Wear a 'do rag or shower cap to prevent dust and spider webs from entering your hair and causing hair loss during the period of new hair growth. When you're in the kitchen cooking, be sure to make the most of the steam generated from boiling water and things like that. This can open up the pores on the face as well as the scalp for optimal hair growth.
These are the best tips that I have found for maintaining hair growth in between treatments.
