So you like your Croc Shoes? They come in all sizes, shapes, colors and designs. You can where them just about anywhere. If you have back problems, foot or leg problems Crocs are comfortable, wearable and durable. Crocs are great people who work and walk in all kinds of environments and terrains. Are you a hair dresser or nurse? Crocs are water resistant and just right for you. Well, that's how it is in most of the western world. We have a need for a certain product, we go out and shop for it. We buy it. End of story. Unfortunately, for about three-fourths of the world, however, that is not the case. For those in third-world nations, shoes are an unheard of luxury. 1.2 Billion people live in poverty. Oh sure, these folks need shoes. The ground is rough, rocky and treacherous. But when your family survives on less than a dollar a day, shoes just aren't in the picture. At least they weren't, not until SolesUnited.org. stepped in. Crocs are now being produced for millions of unshod feet around the world. The concept is amazingly simple and brilliant. A Crocs owner wears out his pair of Crocs. He brings the old shoes to a local donation site. The customer's old pair is ground up and re-mixed to make a brand-new pair of Crocs for those in need.
As Ron Snyder, CEO of Crocs says about the shoes, 'They're 'super-comfortable, lightweight, anti-microbial.' Crocs are the perfect shoe for walking in mud, dust, rocks, brush and other more rugged terrains. The goal of SolesUnited.org. according to Snyder is to 'Shoe the World'. Visit the SolesUnited.org and view the short clip showing folks in Malawi. Watch children and adults walk with amazing agility over rocky, dusty, very uncomfortable terrain. Then watch these same folks receiving a shipment of Crocs, trying their new shoes on and dancing happily.
