Miley Cyrus is NOT a Freak! Since when is Teen Behavior Normal?

Miley Cyrus. She's all over the web, all over the news, all over the gossip pages; and all over some ridiculous photos she took of herself and had taken of her. People in every social circle on the planet are poo-pooing or pawshawing these photos as the scourge of the earth or an innocent girl getting a raw deal. Allow me to make it abundantly clear here: I am not a Miley Cyrus fan!! I am, however deeply ashamed that my fellow man would become so enamored with lust and jealousy that this poor girl has to become the center of some sick, twisted imagination and has to be smeared all over the news as some sort of dirty little hussy. People, the pictures were NOT FILTHY! Heck, they weren't even SEXY!! They were, in fact, simple pictures of a fifteen year old girl having fun with her friends and exploring her newly found "sensuality".

Can you remember being fifteen or sixteen and discovering that you suddenly had looks? Or that you could suddenly make yourself look sexy to someone else? It's like an overnight development. Typical to teens and other younger kids, and some older adults...usually males....when you find a new toy or source of distraction, you're going to experiment with it until it breaks! From what I saw, Miley wasn't even trying to look sexy or seductive in those pictures. With the lips pushed out in that Marylin Monroe style, it looked to me like Miley was just having some fun and someone else chose to exploit that for their own sick needs. I can't readily say that I even know a teen who doesn't take pictures such as those stolen from Ms. Cyrus on a daily basis. When I was a kid, it was Polaroids and 35mm cameras. But we still took a boat load of pictures. How else do you expect to remember your childhood?
