The talk of the NFL this summer is the fact that the Green Bay Packers are having to the deal with Brett Favre's circus that has come to town. In March, Favre announced his retirement and the river started to flow. He cried tears of sorrow, happiness or who knows they could have even been tears of regret for missing the wide open receiver in the NFC championship game that would have led to the Super Bowl upset in favor of the Packers. That is of course assuming they could fall off the same feat the New York Giants did. Definitely a realistic scenario consider the Packers beat the Giants earlier in the year. Despite all the drama that Favre has brought back to the NFL now his faithful fans are in a split decision. Half of them want to see him back just as a courtesy for his service and the other half is ready to see Aaron Rodgers fill his shoes and show what he can do. Either way the Green Bay Packers will be a good team this year but the story is will Favre play in Green Bay or will he get what he wishes for? A shot to embarrass himself as he attempts to jump into a new system with a different organization and throw away all the respect he had from Packer fans and football fans as a person.
