Los Angeles Residence Inn Hotels

Marriott Residence Inns are terrific places to stay when traveling. The accommodations are comfortable and spacious, much like being at home. I have stayed at several Residence Inns and feel they are a great place to stay. The condo or townhouse accommodations are especially great for extended stays, for business travelers and for families. There are 18 Residence Inns located throughout the Los Angeles area.

Accommodations in Residence Inns are similar to furnished apartments, with a separate living room and fully equipped kitchen. There is usually a choice from one to three bedroom units. Amenities differ by location. Some have swimming pools and some do not. Most Residence Inns are slightly off the beaten path, rather than in a downtown area. Some units have gas fireplaces.

The lodging is terrific for family groups. A two or three bedroom unit offers spacious lodging for parties that can enjoy private bedrooms with the shared common area. The kitchen is stocked with dishes and dishwasher. In the Residence Inns that I have stayed inn, I would run the dishwasher and the daily maid service would put the dishes away in the cupboard. The full sized refrigerator and stove allows guest to store and cook their own food, saving money on restaurants. The staff will even go shopping for guest, if provided with a list.

Residence Inns are designed as a hotel for business people, who often travel for extended periods of time. The hotel serves a hearty buffet breakfast in the morning. On weeknights, most Residence Inns serve a happy hour with free cocktails and a light buffet. The buffet probably serves as dinner for many of the guests.

Residence Inns are part of the Marriott Hotel chain and have a smoke free policy. Most Residence Inns are pet friendly. Fees vary, but usually include a non-refundable sanitation fee of $75 to $100 per stay. Check the individual hotels for details regarding their policies.
