Do's and Don'ts when Traveling at Orlando Florida Airport

Nine Miles southeast of the center of Orlando, Florida you find the Orlando International Airport. The Orlando International Airport was made for easy transportation and finding transportation to other parts of the city is not too difficult. It is best to have your ride to your destination established before you arrive at the Orlando, Florida International Airport but if you don't have a ride to your destination you can find plenty of taxi's waiting to give you a lift. There are many options for travel in Orlando, Florida depending on where your destination is.

If you are going to a Disney World Resorts you can take the Disney transportation system from the Orlando International Airport to the Disney World resort you are staying at. Disney World has an excellent transportation system to and from the Orlando International airport.

If you are renting a car from the airport you will have to take a shuttle to the car rental area to get your rental car. You can rent a car from Alamo, Avis, budget and Dollar among other car rental companies. It is a good idea to reserve your rental car before you get to the airport.

Safety is a big concern at any airport so when you travel to and from the Orlando International airport watch you person belongings at all time. Never leave your luggage alone. Keep your valuables out of view and secure at all times. A wallet in your front pocket is safer then in your back pocket. Avoid going into places that are dark and deserted, stay in well lighted public areas of the airport.

Travel light by taking only what you need for the trip. If possible carry your luggage on the flight. Sometimes the luggage pickup area is a pretty far distance from where your plane landed and retrieving your luggage can be a work out. Especially if you have problems walking long distances you should consider packing light and carrying your luggage onto the plane with you. By carrying your luggage onto the plane you can save a lot of time picking up your luggage and exiting the airport.

Leave your luggage alone these days and the bomb squad will probably destroy it before you have an opportunity to reclaim it.
