CP Spotlight: Dianna Zaragoza

Dianna Zaragoza has only been a Content Producer for a few months, but she is going to bring ACP some interesting material. Referred by her church employment specialist because she wanted to find something to bring in some income while staying at home with her 4 children, she says she has “a huge need to be published and making money at the same time is gravy!”

She chooses things to write about ideas which come to her mind and leave her with questions. She researches and gathers information and then writes to process her own thoughts. Because she is presently taking college courses through the Internet, her first published article had to do with how to be successful in taking Internet courses.

She has an adventuresome background, having walked on hot coals, jumped off cliffs and gone parasailing in her youth. A sense of her own mortality has put a curb on that kind of experience, and she says she has decided to live as long as possible. However, she says that those exciting moments in her life were not the most successful things she has ever done. Dianna says that those were the births of her 4 children – literally the birthing process - and she says those happened only because she couldn’t quit before the end!

Just giving birth to her children was not her only success. She also home schooled the first three of her children until this year. They entered public school and are doing very well. The discipline that she had to use to be consistent in her home schooling also serves her well as she writes while taking classes herself. Besides “writing her way through college,” she wants to sell the plays she has been composing for years and her dream job would be to be a writing professor in a university.
