The Emmy's are here once again, and with it are the 2008 Emmy nominees. The Emmy Awards will be held on September 21. If you are impatient and would like to get the full scoop on the Emmy nominations, keep reading and find out if your favorite television series made it into such nomination fields as best drama. The Emmy nominations are a big deal to not only the stars but also to the people who view their shows. The Emmy nominations only come once a year but it seems like it takes a life time to get here. There are many who have been chosen for the Emmy awards but only few will actually go home clutching the famous trophy presented at the Emmys.
To no surprise, House, has gotten an Emmy nomination for best drama. If you don't know what House is, then you must have been drifting off to la la land every time someone would talk about it. House is a spectacular television show that is filled with drama as a drug-addicted doctor tries to fix patients he knows nothing about. During the program there is total chaos as each doctor takes a turn trying to fix the patient until finally they come up with a solution that usually has people spinning their heads at the results.
Among the Emmy nominations for best drama was also the hit series Dexter. Dexter is a little different when it comes to television shows. Dexter is about a born serial killer who also works for the police force, but instead of just bringing the bad guys to justice, he kills them if he feels they deserve to die.
Boston Legal was another television program that has made it into the Emmy nominees for best drama. Boston Legal is all about drama and how one can be betrayed while working for attorneys who will stop at nothing to win their case.
What makes this Emmy nomination so special?
Mad Men and Damages were also nominated, and this will be the first time in 60 years that there has been two cable dramas to make it to the Emmys. This will also mark the first time ever that there has been six television shows instead of five to be nominated for best drama. This was also the first time that a non-HBO series was able to make the Emmy nominations.
