With the rising use of the Internet many people are turning on their computers to send cards on special occasions. Not only do you save time by sending cards online, but you save postage as well. With the rising cost of stamps and a long Christmas list, you can easily save a bundle. Here are a few great sources for you to consider this year:

1. Free animated holiday e-cards from Better Homes and Gardens. Everyone loves Better Homes and Gardens and here you can basically create a holiday card from scratch. There are 5 simple steps you can follow to create your own card. First, you select a character. Second, you pick out some accessories. Third, you choose your background. Fourth, you add some audio (either text words the computer will speak for you, or your own microphone recording). Last, you send your card to a loved one or a friend. This site is easy to navigate and full of fun and magnificent colors.

2. Holiday e-cards from Yahoo Greetings. Here you can sign up for a free 30-day trial. What better time to give Yahoo Greetings a try then during the Christmas season. Yahoo uses American Greeting, a well-known greeting card manufacturer. This site is easy to navigate as well, and has a card for every holiday you can think of. Just select a category and pick whichever card catches your eye. You have the option of choosing a religious card or a general one, and you can even add your own photo or message if you would like.

I use a service but it is not an e-card. You type the message and send it from your computer and it shows up in the mailbox to the recipient. It is really cool. It's unique and you can send gift cards too or in your own handwriting www.SendingCardsDaily.com
