Jessica Simpson, a Dallas native, has a birthday of July 10, 1980. She was raised in the small town of Richardson. Jessica’s singing ability was first seen at a church summer camp in Dallas, Texas, the same church where her dad was a youth minister. She took the compliments and went on tour to Christian conferences where she’d sing and sell home-recorded versions of her songs.

Jessica also auditioned for a role in the Mickey Mouse Club when she was 12, but she didn't get the part because she froze in the finals. When Jessica Simpson was in J.J. Pierce high school, she hung out with the crowd that was popular and respected. She was voted Homecoming Queen two years in a row. Jessica used to be a cheerleader in high school as well.

In the late 1990s, Jessica Simpson switched from Christian music to pop. She was “discovered” and signed with Columbia Records and released her first album Sweet Kisses. The album featured hits like I Wanna Love You Forever and I Think I'm In Love. Simpson's second album, Irresistible, showed Jessica's more flirty, sexy side. She then came out with In This Skin in August of 2003. A lot of her songs were inspired by her husband (boyfriend/fiance at the time) Nick Lachey.

In 2002, Jessica Simpson married longtime boyfriend Nick Lachey (singer and former member of 98 Degrees) whom she‘d met while on tour with the band. Jessica then released the book, I Do: Achieving Your Dream Wedding. Her book tells the story of her wedding and gives tips on planning your own wedding. Jessica and Nick went on to star in their own reality TV Show on MTV. It was called The Newlyweds. The show was an instant hit. I liked it because it showed Jessica’s many “blonde moments.”
