Manny's is a Chicago institution. Often compared to New York Jewish delis (or as close as it gets in Chicago) Manny's offers a wide selection of sandwiches and daily lunch entrees many of which fall within the under $10 price range. The menu consists of typical deli/diner food like brisket, salisbury steak, pastrami, beef stew and meatloaf. Abundant soups, salads and sides offer ample vegetarian options and fare for lighter eaters. Manny's menu of dinner entrees is slightly pricier than it's daily menu, with typical prices in the $10-$15 range and only a few selections falling in the under $10 category.

Smoque

Smoque is a barbecue joint serving primarily ribs, brisket, pulled pork and chicken. It is fairly easy to feed family at this Chicago BBQ joint for under $10 a head by choosing anything but ribs. For those committed to a dinner of ribs, an under $10 per head price is still attainable either by choosing half racks of ribs a la carte, or by feeding the children off the inexpensive kids' menu ($2.75-3.25 per meal, drink not included) and price averaging the meal.
