When anyone mentions Orlando, the first thought that pops into mind is vacation! This destination is probably one of the most sought after vacation spots anywhere in the country! There's something about Florida and Mickey Mouse.

To take a trip to Orlando, many people will fly. Mentioning flying can bring up thoughts of nightmare situations, such as bags getting lost, flights being delayed, and mass confusion at the airport. This article will give ten do and don't tips for flying into and out of the Orlando Airport.

1. Do take nonstop flights. A nonstop flight means you will spend the least amount of time in the air, and make it to Orlando faster. The kids won't get as tired having to wait for layovers, and you may even be able to still have part of the first day left to enjoy once you arrive. Nonstop flights also lessen the chance that your luggage will be lost as it is transferred from one plane to another during a connection.

2. Do find the cheapest flight into Orlando by using the Yahoo Farechase website (listed in the supporting links). This way, you can get the least expensive flight. With Yahoo Farechase, you can choose the option for only nonstop flights as well.

3. Do choose an airline with a baggage policy that meets your needs. If you are taking children and/or expect to have alot of luggage to take along on your trip, the costs for checking bags can become significant! Many airlines have started charging for checked bags. United and American Airlines actually charge for the first bag. Air Tran charges $20 for the second bag, which can be reduced to $10 if you check in online. Southwest does not charge for the first or second bag. Unfortunately, Southwest does not fly into the Orlando Airport.

4. Don't pack too much carry on luggage if you have small children that may need a good bit of attention. The Orlando Airport is huge, and you will have to take a shuttle from the terminal to the baggage claim and rental car area. There is a good bit of walking involved as well. You will have to carry all of the carry on luggage during this long walk, which could become difficult with children.
