Real ID Chip - Helpful Aid or Mark of the Beast?

I've never been one to put much faith into writings that are not definitely scripturally based, but many years ago I read the book Saved by the Light by Dannion Brinkley and he discussed many things that he "saw" or "prophesied" in his Near Death Experiences. Being that so many of them had come true, I started praying to God about these things. One of them tends to come up again and again when I search for many different scriptural and prophetic things.

Many people might think that I am a bit crazy when considering these things, but they seem to be coming true with more frequency. The main thing that I think about are microchips.

If you think about it, the government has already been tracking us for years. By having social security numbers, the government tends to have all kinds of information about every person. The good thing about SSNs is that they are just numbers that coincide with information and are not actually stuck to us. They may be on identification and other cards, but it is not really a huge deal as we still have control over those things.

However, we would not have control over microchips. Microchips would be injected into our skin and they would store information in a database. We would be able to be tracked. I'm not certain about where they would be implanted, but I've read that some people think that the best places would be in either the right hand or the forehead and of course this would match the mark of the beast in the book of Revelation.

My mom has a chihuahua and he already has one of the microchips implanted between his shoulder blades. The thing about a dog is that the government probably has no interest in hurting the dog or finding out information about a dog. The only real information is putting an address into the program to track the dog so that an owner can get the dog back. There may be a few other things like information about the dog's allergies and medicines, but it isn't much the government would want to know.
