How to Send Text Messages for Free

In this guide I will show you how to send text messages for free. This guide is for Alltel and Verizon users. Did you know that you can go to your carrier's website and send text messages to anyone for free? In this guide I will show you how to do that. I will go through each carrier above and explain how to send the text messages.

How to Send Free Verizon Text Messages

You will need to go to the Verizon website or you can click this link to go straight to the text messaging page. If you go to their website, you will see the text message link. Click that link and it will take you to the text messaging page.

On the text messaging page you will see a lot of fields. In the first field you will need to type in the person's cell number that you are sending the text too. The field below that is where you type your message. On the right you will see the top field that says From. Enter your name in that field. In the field below that you will need to enter your email address or your Verizon email address. Then enter your call back number in the bottom field. Select if you want the message to be delivered as Normal or Urgent. Then click the Send button.

On the next page you will need to enter the code that you see in the image. Then click send again. On the next page it will show that your message is being delivered. Click Update Status to check the status of the message. It will tell you when the message has been delivered.

That's how you send free text messages through Verizon. Even if you do not have a Verizon account you can still send Text Messages to people who are on the Verizon Network.

How to Send Free Alltel Text Messages

The Alltel text messaging is about the same as the Verizon text messaging. You will need to go to the Alltel website and click the text messaging link or click this link to go straight to the text messaging page. Fill in the fields the same way that you did above. Then click the Send Message button.

On the next page you will need to enter the code from the image. Then click the Verify Code button. The next page will show you the status of your message. You can click the Update Status button to see the status of your message.
