WarOnline.Net is the product of Australian programmer and game designer Alex Fiedler. It allows players to engage in three types of play: Battles, Duels and Campaigns (B/D/C). According to the website, "A battle is a short two or four player game. A campaign is a larger and longer ten to forty player game. A duel is a two player campaign." The game allows you to set formations and battle plans, and then watch as your armies do battle. To play, cookies must be enabled on your computer. You'll also need Flash Player version 5 or better and Internet Explorer 5 or better. Though, the website now indicates that Firefox and Mozilla will also work.

Cirondo

The brainchild of Andi and Angus Wright, Cirondo is a game that's as challenging as chess, but as simple as checkers. According to the Cirondo website, the object of the game is "to conquer the galaxy by eliminating your opponent from the board." This is achieved by "a vast array of strategies using your Moons, Planets and Solar Systems (known collectively as Stellar) to skilfully attack opponents." The game was developed in 1991 as a tabletop board game, but has now come to the Internet. It is one of the more popular and award-winning games in the United Kingdom, and is now taking the European continent by storm. It's due to come to the States soon.
