My First Submission to Associated Content: What to Write?
Embed:
As this is my very first attempt at this I thought it would be a good start to mull over the ideas in my head on exactly what to write. I mean realistically the topics are unlimited. The saying comes to mind, so many ideas to little time. There are so very many topics to narrow down to just one at a time. So where do I start?I thought I could write on how to deal with holiday stress. I am really good at telling people what to do. I thought maybe I could write an article on essential oils that will help you relax. Those are subjects that I know something about, so they would be a good place to start right?
But then I start to think about it. Why would anyone want to read anything I have to write? Especially a first article. Are those not topics for seasoned writers? People who are already tagged as professionals? Now we start to slip into a murky area. The area of the blank page.
This is the area where you sit and stare at the blank page and just think. And nothing that you think of seems good enough to write about for your very first attempt. I am not talking writers block. I have way to many ideas in my head for it to even come close to writer's block. I would say it is "starters syndrome".
"Starter's Syndrome" we have all been there. You know the drill. You find this great new gadget you just have to have, but when you get it home, it never even comes out of the box, because you just have to have the right moment to use it. Or you sign up for some great project on the web and then just can't find the time to give it the full attention it deserves. You have had "Starter's Syndrome".
My solution to this would simply to just write. Everyone has to start somewhere. Just pick a topic. Any old topic will do. This is your first article. The one you are cutting your teeth on, so to say. It probably won't make you money, but it will accomplish one very important thing.
