Mambo is somewhat difficult to use. Creating links in the main menu can be pretty difficult is you are new to using Mambo or a CMS. In this tutorial I will show you how to create links in your main menu. I will take you step by step through this Mambo tutorial. Go to your Mambo site and click the Administration link. If you have your administrator page bookmarked, go to that page. Login in to your account. The first thing that you will need to do is create a new section. Once you login you will see your menus at the top of the page. Click the Content link and then the Section Manager link.
That will pull your section page up. At the top right you will need to click the New button. On the next page you will need to give your section name a title and name. Then you can select an image for your section. Click the Save button once you are finished.
Now you will need to create your category. To create a category, click the Content link at the top. When the menu drops down, click the Category Manager link.
On the Category page you will need to click the New button at the top right. Give your category a name and title. Then select the section that you just created. You can type a description if you want to in the bottom field. Click the Save button when you are finished.
Now you will need to add it to your menu. Click the Menu link at the top of your window and click Main Menu when the menu drops down. Click the New button at the top right. On the next page tick the Table - Content Category field and click the Next button at the top.
On the next page you will need to type in the name of the link. This is the name that will appear in the Main Menu. Type the name in the top field and select the section in the next field. In the section field, you will see the section and category that you just created. Then click the Save button.
