Santa Monica California is known for its beaches and fine dining. If you are looking for excellent food and fun in the sand then you should visit one of Santa Monica's most famous eating establishments.Border Grill located at 1445 4th St. Santa Monica offers a clean, comfortable atmosphere, the service is good, and the menu has a variety of items such as Border Guacamole, Tortilla Soup, Plantain Empanadas and much more for the small appetite. If you are in the market for a salad, they provide several from the Mexican Chopped Salad with grilled turkey and roasted corn to the Achiote Chicken Caesar salad. Their menu is clearly full of much variety with Fish Tacos, Potato Rajas Tacos, Grilled Chicken Chilaquiles and Skirt Steak. You can find just about anything for anyone in your party when you visit the Border Grill. The prices of their menu are subject to change so you may find that the price is well within the local market area.
Melisse is located at 1104 Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica and is known for having some of the best food in the area. Reviewers indicate that they love the food, service and flexibility of the menu. While dining at Melisse you can start out with Artichoke soup $21.00, Roasted Tofu $35.00, moving on to your entrée of Truffle crusted imported Dover Sole with potato gnocchi, king oyster mushrooms, jus de cuisson truffee $53.00, or try the rotisserie California guinea hen stuffed with winter truffles for two root vegetables $44.00 pp. If you are more into the organic, try their truffle egg melting organic egg, shaved white truffles with truffle sauce $115.00. This is quite an expensive place to eat but you will enjoy it and the atmosphere and service is excellent.
Wilshire Restaurant is located at 2454 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica this is a four star establishment and has a menu packed with foods for any appetite. Start out with the Dungeness crab Cakes $15.00, or Rare Ahi Tuna $14.00. Move on to the Grilled Spring Asparagus Salad, with your main course of Pan Roasted Alaskan Halibut $22.00. This is a fine establishment to share a great meal rather it be lunch or dinner.
