Review of Roscoe Chicken and Waffles in Pasadena, Ca

I love Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles I have been eating hear for over 12 years! I know it might sound really crazy to have chicken and waffles together in the same meal, but let me assure it is one of the best combo's you will ever try in your life.

The chicken is the bomb! I am tempted to get a job there just so that I can figure out what their recipe is especially for the fried chicken. The thing that is so amazing to me is the fact that when they bring you the fried chicken with gravy on top the chicken is still super crispy! The gravy is outstandingly delicious with its chunks of onions!

Now for the waffles! I believe that it is safe to say that you have never tried waffles like these before in your life! I am telling those Eggo waffles have nothing on these baby's. First of all, the size is about three times bigger and probably twice as thick. Even thought they are thick they are soft and fluffy! There is a hint of cinnamon in the waffles and the butter just melts right into them. Then you drizzle that thick syrup on it! It is almost like you are eating a piece of cake!

The prices are very reasonable and you will find that you will most likely have something to take home especially if you order the chicken unless you share with someone there should be plenty to take home.

You are probably wondering if there are other things to eat here besides waffles and chicken! Yes, they quite a menu full of other options. The last time that I went here I actually ventured out from what I typically order and got greens and mac and cheese. I was impressed. I tend to be very picky when it comes to greens and mac and cheese. These to items were divinely prepared and it made me feel like I was back in my grandmother's kitchen in the South.

You can also order a chicken burger or chicken salad. They have amazing corn bread, red beans and rice. There is so much more that I can't list off the top of my head. Just know that there are other options that are other options if you just can't wrap your mind around chicken and waffles together! I would just say to go out on a limb and try something different! It will be a wonderful experience I promise you!
