When the beach has become dull, and nightclubs all familiar, shopping malls in Los Angeles are a fantastic and almost inexhaustible form of entertainment. Here I have provided a list of my 5 absolute favorite shopping complexes in the Los Angeles Area.

The Hollywood and Highland Center is a fantastic choice for tourists who want to be in the middle of it all, for this complex is located right on Hollywood Blvd. and is connected to the world famous Kodak Theater, home of the Academy Awards. The streets are full of eccentric performers and excitable tourists. The complex is a partially outdoor, partially covered mall featuring an eclectic variety of shops, restaurants, and clubs. Among the apparel and accessories stores you will find Express, bebe, Sketchers, the Gap, and Lucky Brand Jeans. There are also cosmetics shots such as MAC Cosmetics and services such as the Kodak Image Center. If you have time to kill, do some high class bowling at the Lucky Strike Lanes, or stop by the Level 3 Nightclub, located on the third floor, which features a stage, dance floor, and a catwalk. For movie lovers, stop by the Chinese Theater, or take a tour of the ever impressive Kodak Theater ($15 for adults, $10 for children and seniors). Great dining options include the California Pizza Kitchen, located on the 2nd floor, and Koji's Sushi on the 4th floor. Parking is $2 for 4 hours as long as your ticket is validated. Be aware that due to recent construction projects, a couple segments of the mall may be closed.
