Some think death is a test of faith
Unclearly seen through grief,
Some think its how you go "beyond"
And from this earth you are released
I'm not sure what I believe
Or what I understand
I know I struggle ever day
With accepting God's demands
I begin to contemplate
The true meaning of life
And just how we are to succeed
Through turmoil, grief and strife
This is a reoccurring question
asked From a troubled mind
I know, I know, wait for the day
When on Angel's wings we're whisked away
And all our answers will be found
When once we stand on holy ground
But here and now my faith is shaken
As I try and try to understand
The purpose of this total sorrow
And why some have such short life spans
I know I'm seeing through teary eyes
And that every thing's a blur
But I hope that soon I will see again
And accept death as God's work
