Toledo, Ohio Labeled Hub for Teenage Prostitution

According to Primetime Crime and the Toledo Blade, Toledo may well be the major hub or one of the major hubs for forced teenage prostitution. On July 16, Primetime Crime aired the story based upon the kidnapping of two Toledo teens in 2005. To protect their identity, both girls sported dark wigs and were given the aliases of Kimberly, and Carol. Kimberly appeared on Primetime Crime telling their story, with hopes of saving other teenage girls from their fate.

In 2005, Kimberly aged 15, and Carol aged 14, decided to walk to Wendy's, a 15 minute trip from their house, for Frostys, a type of chocolate milkshake. On the way, it started to rain. A white Lincoln, driven by a woman, drove up to the curb. Kimberly thought that she recognized the man sitting in the passenger side of the car, as Mike, the father of one of her classmates. Mike told the girls to hop in and they would take them to Wendy's, so both girls hoped into the back seat. When the car drove pass Wendy's and headed towards another part of town, both girls realized that they were in trouble. After reaching a house on Downing Street, the girls were ordered to get out of the car and taken inside. The man that Kimberly thought to be Mike locked the door and set the alarms. Shortly, both girls learned that their captors were Deric Willoughby, a well known pimp, and two prostitutes, Cashmere (Jennifer Husky) and Envy (Brandy Shope)

Kimberly went further, and revealed what their lives were like while being held and forced into prostitution. They were threatened, and watched at all times. Both girls were told to call Deric Willoughby, "Daddy", and were taken to local motels to meet clients. Neither girl was ever left alone with any client but was closely watched as they "slept" with the client, ensuring that the girl's did not reveal their true identity or their true age.
