shades of cobalt blend with purest cochinealcentermost upon the canvass like the heart
turn to ultraviolet, a streak of steel
titanium white to brighten up the outer part.
burnt umber and sienna lighten with a bit
of yellow ochre brushed above the consciousness
the upper edges of the canvass all but lit
like the sun with lemon yellow mindfulness.
below the carmine red, blood crimson, brush with haste.
encircle every hue with azure spiral flame.
accentuate with pallete knife, each color placed
so deeply as to sever canvass from the frame.
an abstracted self-portraiture surreal - discreet.
another canvass, brushes ready, then repeat.
