Here's a guy who hasn't had a real hit in years. Jimmy Buffett just keeps plugging along to sold out concerts, though. His concert is more than just a concert. It's like renting a summer beach house and inviting ten thousand or more of your closest friends to have one heck of a party. I must admit it's not for everyone. There's a lot of alcohol roaming around at each and every venue.

People get to the concerts very early to make sure they are heavily intoxicated by the time of the concert. So bringing kids isn't probably the most appropriate thing to do. But for adults, it's a chance to feel the fun and the sun even if you are in Chicago or Cincinnati.
Last year my wife and I went to Cincy for a little taste of Margaritaville. If you are not the biggest Buffett fan on the planet then you may be surprised at just how many songs you know. Maybe you might think that songs like "Margaritaville" and "Cheeseburger in Paradise" are the only tunes you would enjoy. But that's probably not the case if you are a fan of music in general.

And if you don't know the words, you'll soon learn them. Jimmy Buffett songs are easy to sing along with. Even the drunkest fans seem to remember the words.
It's odd how many people are strolling around with a gleam in their eyes as the music plays on. There's always a beach ball or two floating in mid-air and if you're lucky you will get a chance to take a shot. It makes you feel as if you were ten years old again listening to music that just seems to promote happiness. It's just a laid back kind of thing that you would have to experience.

We are going to Chicago this year as well. Hopefully I can post some pictures from his July 27th concert once we get back and give a glowing review of another Buffett concert. It's hard to not like the man who just wants everyone to be happy. Even if you're not the biggest fan of his music, you should understand that his concert is a completely separate entity. It's well worth the time and travel. Even if gas costs are outrageous right now, I guarantee you won't be worrying about that once the music begins.
