Just look at the assets of this merry little cracker:
It is made with 100% whole wheat grain, baked to taste!
There are NO Trans fats!
No cholesterol!
And Sugar Free
Well, yeah, sure all of those great nibble highlights can only mean one thing! They have to taste awful. That is what I thought as well. After all, I have been through it all. When you have a heart condition and need to watch the cholesterol and want to pull down that blood pressure, the main thing is to eat food that tastes awful, right? Let's eat frozen health fare that tastes like sawdust. And for a beverage? A drink that conjures up visions of hydrogen peroxide mixed with a little club soda!
Oh and when it is time to go out to dinner? Then, while everyone else is eating those wonderfully, grilled steaks, cooked to perfection, baked potatoes, swimming in sour cream and butter, drowning in salt and pepper, and a cobb salad, with a blue cheese dressing made in a company called Cholesterol is US. That's when you, the heart patient, forlorn and miserable, is eating a green salad, with no croutons, and a light vinegar and oil dressing - along with a cold drink made of clear water.
Now, there is this great cracker that really tastes great. Triscuits Cracked Pepper and Olive Oil Baked Whole Grain Cracker is as good as any bag of potato chips or bowl of Doritos. Eat 6 of them - 120 calories! There is even a cool recipe for a creamy bruschetta spread on the back of the box. And it is great!
