Chicago's Grand Victoria Riverboat Casino is a proud part of Chicago's heritage and history. Measuring 400 feet long and 100 feet wide, this picturesque riverboat features a historical decor and more slots than you have time to count. There is also a good number of table games. The Grand Victoria is much more enjoyable now that it has to comply with state no smoking laws. It used to be so thick you smelled of smoke for days after leaving the casino. The Victoria is a dockside casino and an extremely popular destination. It runs 21 blackjack tables, three three-card poker tables, five craps tables, four roulette tables and quite a few video gaming machines. Sometimes the casino has live entertainment. There is a moderately expensive variety of dining options for hungry gamblers. There are currently four restaurants operating within the casino.

It is true that certain parts of the riverboat casino could use a renovation but all things considered the Grand Victoria is a nice riverboat casino. Compared to some others this one is one of the best. The buffet in the pavilion offers a wide variety of food choices. For anyone that has never visited a riverboat casino this would be a good introduction. Location so close to millions of potential customers has spoiled the Victoria in some ways. They rarely do any promotional events to attract new customers because they really do not find it necessary. In fact at times they cannot take on all the visitors that wish to come "on board" due to fire marshall regulations.

Of course how people feel about the Victoria depends on if they won or not. If they lost, how fast they lost their money also figures into how they view the Grand Victoria Riverboat Casino as they depart. It seems that because they don't have much competition they are pretty skimpy on handing out comp prizes no matter how long you have been playing. That is not usual for a good casino and it would improve their image a lot if they could improve in that area. Comps are considered winnings by many players and an important part of the game.
