The hotel Lexington at City Place, Orlando was reborn in 1996. Once a Holiday Inn, it was renovated and remodeled in 1996. Many improvements were made, and the Lexington is now a beautiful hotel, inside and out. The new décor is so clean and fresh. This wonderfully new, high-rise condominium offers great views from the higher levels. It is located close to the TD Waterhouse Centre. If you are in town for a sports event this would be a great choice. The Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre is also nearby. You are also near downtown Orlando and less than 1/4 of a mile from Amway Arena. This lovely hotel is perfect for the business traveler, but I didn't think it was the best choice for families with children. Its central location made it easy for getting around in the city, but I wasn't comfortable walking around in the area at night. Parking is available, but for a pretty steep fee of $10 per day.
There is a very nice lounge located in the Lexington at City Place, Orlando, as well as a very nice dining facility for a very nice evening meal. There are a number of dining choices in the area as well, and taxis are available for travel to and from, but I would suggest that you call in advance for one. Don't expect to hail a cab from the front door. There is a concierge available, but no bell boys were present on my stay there. The concierge is a great help in planning activities and getting information. The hotel provides room service, but you will find that it is very expensive. All I can say is almost $5 for a bottle of water...
You can't book your stay online, at least not yet. You can book a stay at the Lexington at City Place, Orlando by calling the hotel directly. Rates are decent but non-refundable. WI-FI internet access is provided free of charge, but there is no breakfast included.
The beds are the best part, wonderful, plush pillows and a bed you simply don't want to get up in the morning. I just can't say enough about the comfort and coziness!
