A Guide to Visiting Hollywood Blvd in California

Hollywood Boulevard is currently undergoing a major overhaul and it is now getting back to what most imagine it to be; a beautiful street with much to see and do. About five years a few friends and I were strolling down Hollywood Boulevard about noon and were actually a bit intimidated, but now it is getting back to being one of the most famous streets in the US. There is so much to see and do that it will take you a few full and busy days to get to it all.

Grauman's Chinese Theatre

I always love visiting here. I must admit a mild obsession with putting my feet in the footprints of past celebrities like Marilyn Monroe. The theatre is quite beautiful and I recommend you take plenty of pictures. I also suggest that you take the time to go inside the theatre and see a movie. The inside of the theatre still looks really nice inside and there are plenty of unique photo opportunities.

Personally I recommend you stay here on your trip to Hollywood Boulevard to really experience it and to be super close to many of the popular attractions. If you aren't able to stay here be sure to venture in and look at the hotel, it is beautiful inside and out. Also be sure to go upstairs and check out their large collection of Hollywood memorabilia.

Hollywood Entertainment Museum

This place is great for all those who watch TV. I got to sit on one of the original Cheers barstools and spend a little time in the "office" from the X-Files. It was probably the most awe inspiring museum I have been to. Make sure to bring a camera because there are great photo opportunities around every corner.
