Scottsdale Plaza Resort: Hotel Review

If I should be given the chance to rate hotels that I visit, the Scottsdale Plaza Resort would get five stars. Even though the grounds are impeccable, the heart of that resort is its staff. After arriving in Scottsdale on a 5 hour flight and realizing that I would be having breakfast twice in one day due to a 3 hour difference in time zones, the welcoming staff was very refreshing. The first good news was that all tipping was included in the hotel fee. I love that because I can never remember to travel with cash and even if I do, I do not like to feel compelled to tip. Knowing that it was not expected made me want to do it more.

On day one when we were hit with the unbearable dry heat, we were offered rides on the golf carts to get back to our rooms. The guys were friendly and very accommodating even giving us advice on how to travel around town at reduced rates.

Day two started with a fresh outlook of the beautiful well manicured grounds and cute little cottontail bunny rabbits hopping about. Even in the heat, it was undeniable very cute and had me wondering if Alice in Wonderland took place in this very setting. Anyway, no time for daydreaming and risking heat strokes so on to the gift shop I went to see what nice gifts I could bring back for friends and family. Once again, I was thrilled by the friendliness of the lady in the gift shop and the readiness with which she helped me figure out what would suit each member of my family. Okay, so she was selling her items but she went out of her way to add batteries to a little car to show me how it would work for my son. In my opinion that is exceptional customer service.
