A book review begins when you chose the book to read and review. That’s right you could just read a book and tell what you thought but why not start at the beginning. We all choose books to read for certain reasons. Whether that would be because a friend recommended it or because you heard it was a good book, Or just because you picked it up and the title caught your eye.
Next explain what the title means to you.
Type the title review the title read the title and explain what that title means to you. Explain, by reading the title, what you think the book will be about.
Then read the preface
The preface will provide information on why the author chose to write the book.
Ok now think of some questions you may want to answer while reading this book.
1. Was the book about what you thought it would be just by reading the title?
2. Did the book catch your interest or did it lose you some where down the line?
3. Who do you think would be interested in this book?
4. How did the writing make you feel?
5. Did it invoke any emotions?
6. Can you relate to the writing through a personal experience?
7. Were the characters believable?
8. What did you like most?
9. What did you like least?
10. Finally, what has the book accomplished? Is further work needed? Compare the book to others by this author or by others.
Now sit back relax and enjoy the read, you may choose to make notes of interesting parts of the book to add to your review.

Thank you. I thought this article was very helpful. I read another article about the same thing but found this one much more informative. I like the idea of explaining why I chose the book in the first place, as well as what I thought the title was telling me about the book. Now for me to go back and edit my rough draft of the book review I have written....
