I will admit it, I am guilty of falling in love with Starbucks and their delicious coffees and frappuccinos, especially the Double Chocolate Chip frappuccino with extra chocolate on top. It's enough calories to make any diet guru cry, but I love them and enjoy them at least once a week.

It wasn't always like that though, when I was younger I would roll my eyes at the little coffee shop that was popping up on every street corner. I'll admit it, somewhere around 26 I sold out and became everything I swore I never would be when it came to Starbucks, a customer.

I never understood the idea of putting a Starbucks basically on every corner, or across from another cafe that would basically force them out of business with the customers buying from Starbucks based on name alone, but when you're at the top of your game as a company I guess you get the idea it can only work out in your favor if you saturate the market. Apparently Starbucks should have looked into that saturating the market thing first before they built so many coffee shops. Or maybe the company has had the right idea all along and is just another victim of a slipping economy.

I'm including a link to an interactive map of the 59 locations that will be closing in the state of Florida, and while the company says the stores they are closing are performing poorly compared to other locations, I can tell you two locations they are closing were very popular.

I know that the Sanford and Altamonte Springs locations were very popular at the malls they were in, but I never really understood why they put two in one place. One would have been enough, and apparently Starbucks agrees sighting that 72 % of the stores to be closed are within 2 miles or less of another Starbucks location.
