As someone who works with the spiritual arts, whether spiritual healing, channeling, psychic readings, or any profession that works with the invisible arts, you may have had encounters with negative people. This refers to anyone who may be a naysayer, or who will try to discredit your work or beliefs. How will you deal with these people, and keep them from bringing negative energy to your work? Here are some thoughts. The Naysayers
These are the people who deny the validity of what you are doing. They will happily proclaim, either to you directly, or to others, that your work is "fake," "unreal," "a scam," or "a placebo." They may use other terms, but the message is the same: according to them, your work is a sham. Why do they do this? There could be several reasons, but most are related to their own fear or insecurity. They may be afraid to accept that there is a reality beyond what they have believed or experienced up until this point. They don't want to admit that they have missed some aspect of life or that they are limited in some way, unable to see what you see. They may be embarrassed, unable to sense or feel anything energetic. Perhaps their religious upbringing has given them a set of information about what spirituality means that does not include your particular practice, and thus, they conclude, you must be wrong. In all of these cases, the naysayers have limited themselves by their own accepted assumptions, and have a closed mind.
How do you deal with the naysayers? Don't expect to convert them. That would be a waste of energy. Even if you did a reading or energy healing for them, they would still deny its validity or come up with some other explanation for any positive effect your work has had on them. Accept that they will either come around in their own time, or won't. Either way, this isn't the time for you to waste energy on them. Don't let yourself be hurt by them. Be confident in yourself, and turn your energies to those who are receptive.
