CHARITY means help and assistance offered to some one in need . God has made charity as a means of salvation from evil deeds . Charity is the foundation of all religious activities . Religion preaches charity and makes it a prime condition for attaining closeness to God .

To be a devout Christian , Hindu , Jew , or a Muslim or of any religion you may belong to, you need to have and contain love and affection for the poor in your heart . God wants that we share his bounty with our fellow beings but how many of us are truly charitable in our personal lives .

All charitable institutions are thriving in the name of charity providing employment to the unemployed in the name and sake of charity but the actual beneficiaries of these charities are deprived and marginalized . Politicians gain power in the name of helping and doing good work in the society for the poor and down trodden but once they achieve their goal and become ministers they never go back to their constituencies to mobilize help and charity for the poor .

Huge amounts of money is collected in the name of the poor to alleviate poverty all over the world but poverty seems to keep growing day by day . No Government howsoever powerful has been able to contain poverty . The disparity amongst the people who have and the have not keep increasing and the world bodies keep talking big about great works and achievements.

MOSES , JESUS , MOHAMMAD ,GAUTAMA BUDHA and many others in this world came to live with the poor and help improve their life .

The disciples and the followers of all great prophets and religious heads took a vow to remove and alleviate poverty from the world scenario but it lives like the mountain staring and laughing at mankind challenging his strength to shift and reduce the height of poverty from the world . Do bloggers think that charity can change the life of the poor?

Can you remember one great event of your life which has turned your life
