Where to Find Prepared Thanskgiving and Holiday Food in Denver

Preparing dinner for any holiday feast can be difficult enough just by itself, add in guests and even worse family and you have a mixer for disaster. Take out the hassle and take out dinner this year. You would be amazed at how close around the corner you can pickup a whole meal. Use your own bowls, and you might even be able to pull off the switcheroo dinner to please the touchest food critics.

Denver has a wealth of food places to get dinner so I'm going to highlight one place that is available all over the city, one with a fewer available stores and one exclusive place with a twist, you eat there.

You might not think of a grocery store as a full service kitchen but they are. Denver has a chain of stores that we use every year for our Christmas dinner called Safeway. My dirty little secret is out. I'm even guilty of warming up the prepared food and putting it in my own dishes and passing it off as my aunt's famous receipt. You can usually order a prime rib dinner or a turkey/chicken dinner base on season. These dinners come in a box with all the side you can dig into and pie for dessert. Each smaller box contains cooking instructions. It's a hit every year for Christmas and it has enough food to feed a family of four.

My second choice is a bit bias, my partner works for Boston Market so we are always getting to sample the food and taste the treats. Boston Market revs up the kitchen each holiday season between Thanksgiving and the New Year. They make most of their money between these seasons, with good reason. Unlike my first choice for prepared meals, Boston Market offers a choice of what you get for your dinner package. They offer a large selection of side from corn to mac and cheese. Corn bread included with all meals and the meats are always juice and not dry.
