Each day is an instanteternal - frozen in time
Each heartbeat, a breath or a tear
Another second, minute or year
The cycle of life and death exists
like a universal scrapbook
filled with memories and moments
to look back upon, to remember.
Laughter sounds from
the distant recesses of the mind
caught between mountains of moments
bouncing to and fro as an echo -
an apparition of youth and bygone days.
I watch the lake fill to the brim
with the tears of yesteryear
as the rain falls silently, gently.
I am the rain.
