You know me notA stranger I have become
trapped within the mist
searching for that
which no longer exists.
I reach out but
you are not there.
Your pursuits are elsewhere.
The moon swells with pity
as it looks down upon you
hoping you will see its brilliant light,
fearing it will be too late.
You will need me when I am gone.
You will look to the sky
and seek the counsel of the heavens
but you will not find what you seek
for karma will have dropped its veil
upon your weary eyes.
